CReDo OFGEM SIF Beta
Updated on December 10 2025
Funded by OFGEM Strategic Innovation Fund, this project is a Beta phase following successful Discovery and Alpha phases. The project aims to deliver a higher TRL platform and tools to investigate how to build climate resilience into national infrastructure. The PI is UK Power Networks (UKPN). The project is led by Connected Places Catapult and involves CMCL Innovation, as well as academic partners, and forms a collaboration between STFC Scientific Computing, of which DAFNI is a programme, and the Hartree Centre.
This project aspires to model and understand the impacts of future extreme temperatures on electricity networks. A main objective is to develop a “digital elicitation tool” which will enable operators and engineers to create questionnaires to extract the knowledge from their employees and turn it into Bayesian probabilistic failure models for assets. These models can then be used to model the impacts of climate change on their networks.
The CReDo+ project is funded by the Ofgem Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF). SIF funding has three phases: Discovery phase, Alpha phase, and Beta phase.
