With an increasing reliance on renewable energy, the world faces challenges to ensure reliable, secure and affordable energy sources. The UK government’s mission is to achieve clean power by 2030 and accelerate to Net Zero. Endeavouring in this mission, DAFNI is working on challenging and complex projects, from forecasting energy demand to testing the resilience of our energy systems and grid networks in extreme weather, demonstrating success in the path to Net Zero.

BRINES
BRINES (Building Risk-Informed redundancy for Net-zero Energy Systems) is a collaboration project led by Dr Hannah Bloomfield from Newcastle University.
D-RES
D-RES (Provision of distributed grid resilience using EVs during extreme weather events) is a collaboration project led by Dr Desen Kirli from University of Edinburgh along with Dr Laiz Souto from University of Bristol.
ForNet
ForNet (FORecasting Services for Energy NETworks) is a collaboration project led by Professor Konstantinos Nikolopoulos from Durham University.

Work package 3: industrial ontologies
Andrey will examine the relationship that industrial ontologies have with infrastructure ontologies, to determine overlaps required, key stakeholders and gaps.
