Dr Bethan Perkins

Dr. Bethan Perkins leads the DAFNI Group at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL). Bethan first joined the DAFNI group as a senior software developer in 2019 and became Group Lead in 2025. She has a background in climate science and science communication and was a full-stack satellite data applications developer for many years before joining STFC. As Group Lead, Bethan manages the technical team and oversees the development of the DAFNI platform and its associated services.
